St. Kitts and Nevis Second Passport

The island federation of St Kitts and Nevis promotes a citizenship program offering clients second citizenship and St Kitts and Nevis second passport through two different programs: the Citizenship-by-investment program and the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation. The St Kitts Nevis passport by investment program began in 1984 and is one of the best second citizenship programs available to date. There are many advantages to owing a second passport or second citizenship.

The Sugar Diversification Foundation is a program started out by the Government of the offshore tax haven of St Kitts and Nevis to help those persons who worked with or were directly affected by the closing down of the sugar industry. The proceeds of this project go into a fund which will be used to set up provide alternate employment opportunities.

When applyinSt. Kitts and Nevis Second Passportg for citizenship through the SIDF program applicants are expected to have a due diligence investigation carried out. The fee for this is US$7,500 for the main applier and US$4,000 for each other person over 16. The registration fees are already added to the contributions quoted below. The processing fee for each individual is not included in the prices below and are quoted based on the individual cases. The St Kitts Nevis Citizenship through the SIDF has different categories:

Citizenship for one (1) person or candidate for a payment of US$250,000.

Citizenship for four candidates. This can be as follows; the applicant, one spouse and up to two (2) children who must be below the age of eighteen (18). A contribution of US$300,000 must be made.

Citizenship for six (6) candidates ( the applicant a partner and four children all under the age of eighteen) at the rate of US$350,000.

Citizenship seven or more persons. This would include the applicant with six or more children or dependents. The contribution to be made is US$450,000.

The Citizenship-by-Investment program requires a real estate investment in the offshore tax haven of St Kitts and Nevis. The contribution to be made should be no less than US$400,000. The investment will be made in real estate projects assigned by the government of the tax haven.

The fee to be paid to the government of St Kitts for this second citizenship program includes a registration fee of US$50,000 for single candidate and each dependent over 18. An additional US$25,000 for each additional person (under 18) and spouse. Due diligence must be carried out on every candidate above the age of eighteen. The cost of due diligence is US$7,500 for the main candidate and US$4,000 for each person over 16. The processing fees vary for each case.

St. Kitts and Nevis Second Passport program will not only secure a second passport for the applicant but also real estate property. According to the regulations of the St Kitts Nevis Passport by Investment program this property can only be sold five years after it has been purchased. Selling the property over to a new buyer will not qualify that person for Saint Kitts and Nevis citizenship.
